so, if i had a stove in my kitchen that performed so abysmally that i had to cook my food, by hand, over an open flame both before AND after utilizing said stove, would i use it?
dude. of course not. that shit would be stupid.
so WHY OH WHY do i persist in fighting the same battle with my dishwasher?
pre-wash. run dishes. unload dishes and engage in a russian-roulette of dishwasher performance (some dishes look great, other are covered in a film of soap or small bits of food-particle-sludge) and wash the offending dishes for the THIRD time... by hand.
and yet i can't make myself ignore the dishwasher all together and commit to hand washing dishes. it hurts my soul. and i can't replace the offending machine, as we don't own the house.
so i persist in this lunacy.
who is it that said that the definition of insanity is approaching the same problem repeatedly the same way, expecting a different result?
my dishwasher struggles will either:
a) confirm my suspicions that i am slowly losing my mind or
b) illustrate the dangers of sleeplessness paired with the dreaded "Mommy Brain."
I don't know which answer i'm hoping for at this point.
i DO know that if i had some magical dish-washing fairies around, this wouldn't be an issue at all. while i'm at it, could i get some laundry-folding fairies?
in a few years i WILL have those fairies (also called: Elliot and Grayson) but until they are old enough, I need some magical assistance.

oh no, that sucks. My sister lived in a house with no dishwasher, I dont know how she did it.
Have you seen those portable dishwashers?? Or maybe buy one and take it with you when you leave??
