The good news is, he has a mama who is so busy hanging out with him she hasn't blogged. The bad news is, well, she hasn't blogged. :) And AS i type this, he is flapping his feet around in his crib, so he may be awake at any minute... until then, i type.
since elliot has been born, we have moved north 2 states back up to the lovely green city of seattle. i miss los angeles and my la friends fiercely, but i am so glad to be in seattle to raise my son. the vibe up here, the casual and friendly atmosphere amognst the people, the focus on the environment, these are all things i am extremely glad to have him grow up with.
he has some new skills these days... he is practicing sitting up (with help, mostly, but every now and then rocks a minute himself) and babbling. he had been doing some serious squealing (which Rachel calls "the porpoise!" because he sounds like a crazed dolphin) and blowing raspberries for about the last 2 months... starting just yesterday he began a "gah-gah-gah-gah" repetitive syllabic babble. he practices so hard that he totally zones out and doesn't look at me while he talks, which i find hysterical. yesterday i was holding him directly in front of my face but he wasn't looking at me while he "gah gah gah gah-ed" away. then he turned to find my face inches from his and was SO SURPRISED. it was hystercial. his face went from shock to a smile in mere seconds, which was a lot of fun to see. "WHAT?! ohhhh, it's YOU mama!" very cute.
the less cute, but no less necessary skill he is practicing is rolling over. "but michele, rolling over is GREAT! why are you saying it isn't cute?!" because, my friends, this skill he seems only to want to practice while sleeping. he tosses and turns ALL NIGHT and repeatedly wakes himself up having landed on his tummy, which makes him screetch for help. gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. i am so glad he is hauling his 20+ pound body back-to-front and front-to-back (his pediatrician thought it might be something that happened even later because of his size) but i will be really glad when it doesn't keep us all awake all night anymore.
HAHAHAHA. okay. he just farted himself awake, something i always find amazing, so i must run. :)

YAY!
You live! Isabella rolls around in her sleep. WTH is wrong with these kids? If they were half as tired as we were they'd sleep for a month. I love all pic, he's such a devilishly handsome dude.
He's such a cutie!! And at least he's rolling...his older friend Kate has yet to decide that is something she wants to pursue. :)
I nominated you for an award...go see my blog for details
